In many countries around the world, more than 50% of the electrical energy consumed during the warm months of the year is for air conditioning. Utilizing solar thermal energy is an efficient approach to providing the energy needed for such cooling. Linear collectors like parabolic troughs are the most widely used type of industrial collectors on a large scale. However, they have not yet been commercialized, because, on a small and domestic scale, the length of the collector is insufficient to achieve high temperatures. In this newly-fabricated solar heater receiver, a metal tube encapsulated in a glass tube is installed to absorb the radiation and to heat the molten salt/hot oil. GREENBMG Linear Fresnel automatic dual axis solar thermal collector comes with an active automatic solar tracker. The active tracker mechanism tracks the sun automatically from sunrise to sunset with high precision.
